OFFICIAL: Today's Premier Announcement - 30/6/2020

Dear community leaders and faith leaders I write to you with regards to the Premier’s announcement today (Tuesday 30 June) on the latest developments aimed to address the spread of COVID-19. Under these new arrangements, from 11:59pm tomorrow night (Wednesday 1 July) until at least 29 July:

Those residing in postcodes 3012, 3021, 3032, 3038, 3042, 3046, 3047, 3055, 3060, 3064 will be required to return to Stage 3 Stay at Home restrictions

  • If you live in these locations, there will again only be four reasons to be out:

  • Shopping for food and supplies,

  • care and caregiving,

  • exercise, and

  • study or work – if you can’t do it from home.

  • Wherever you can, you should do these things as close to home as you can. But if you do need to leave your postcode, those same restrictions – those same four reasons – travel with you.

  • If you live outside these locations, there’s only four reasons to come in:

  • shopping for food and supplies,

  • care and caregiving,

  • exercise, and

  • study or work – if you can’t do it from home.

  • The businesses and facilities in these areas that have been able to recently reopen will again be restricted. Cafes and restaurants will again only be open for take-away and delivery.
