Congratulation

On behalf of the Foundation for the Traditional Council of Chiefs,

I acknowledge and praise Twic East Community Associations members and leaders for having conducted many successful, peaceful events with the intention of helping people in Australia and in Sudan.

Twic East Associations are working well in the state and at a federal level to promote and advance peace among the community. Twic East Associations are charitable, caring, and committed to peaceful maintenance of traditions.

The late Dr John Garang said that the idea of taking the town to the people has often been misunderstood, but it merely means that taking of goods and services to remote areas. The community of Twic East continues to raise funds for schools, health care initiatives, and roads to rural villages, providing improved access to urban areas.

Lieutenant General Bior Ajang Duot, former SPLA deputy chief of staff for operations, former undersecretary of the Ministry of Defence and Veterans Affairs, and current first-class ambassador and undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, will lead the Twic East community in Africa, particularly in Juba, South Sudan. He is a strong, honest humble leader, and he is a caring driver working to bring his community to the promise lands of peace and development.

The elected team is prepared to advance peace and assist disadvantaged communities in Sudan. I congratulate the new elected team and the community, and I offer my cooperation in their efforts towards a peaceful future.

— Twic East Acting Chief in Australia Peter Lual Reech Deng
