AWBCE is running a program in Melbourne. We are collecting pot plants: "Pot Plants for Friends".
Why? Because some months ago there were terrible bushfires in a rural town called Bunyip.
People had their homes and belongings burned in the fires. I heard those people being interviewed on ABC radio. They all said - we got our families out, so that is fabulous, we got our pets out so that is great but (and this was said third in a list of issues) we lost all our pot plants, they were burned.
So AWBCE is asking for people to donate a plant in a pot. We are collecting them and then we will take them to Bunyip where they will be given to families who have lost all their plants in pots.
