A celebration of culture – looking beyond the skin into stories from South Sudan, food, and culture.



About this event Please note that this is a workshop for ages 13+, photos and videos may be taken of the workshops for promotional purposes. A conversation about culture, identity, and the importance of preserving language in Perth’s diasporic African communities; led by Abuk Lual with a panel of three generations of South Sudanese (Jieng/Dinka) migrants, from the wisdom of elders to the optimism of our youth. This is open to all people from all backgrounds! Come and sample delicious Sudanese tastes and explore more of South Sudanese culture through food. In accordance with hygiene requirements, social distancing will be maintained throughout this program and hand sanitizing stations and cleaning products will be available for use.
